We go beyond the required building codes to incorporate features that not only save you money on utility bills, but also minimize the impact on our environment. A few of these features include:
  • Exterior walls are built with LOGIX ICF insulated concrete forms. LOGIX Insulated Concrete Forms make it easy to build green. LOGIX, together with concrete contributes more LEED points than most other building material making it more energy efficient, environmentally friendly, with a 4-Hour fire rating and superior sound resistance. LOGIX products qualify for both the Energy Star home rating and energy-efficient mortgages. They will not support the growth of mold or mildew and they improve indoor air quality.

  • All of our patio homes are heated using radiant-heated floors. Uponor Radiant Floors circulate warm water under floor surfaces to create a thermal mass that heats rooms quietly, comfortably and efficiently. Radiant floor heating provides comfortable, even heat throughout the house, so heat stays with the people, not up near the ceiling. It also reduces allergens and pollutants. Once you set the temperature where you like it, you won’t have to mess with it again.

  • Each patio home is cooled by a two-stage air-conditioning system with a 16 SEER rating. A variable-speed motor keeps energy costs down and an electronic air cleaner helps reduce allergens and pollutants.

  • All of our patio homes are built using highly efficient Polar Wall windows. These windows are double strength and double glazed vinyl windows making them energy efficient. The casements crank out for easy opening.
